Cure Violence uses data surveys from infectious outbreaks to treat violence the same way we treat illnesses, like tuberculosis, HIV, etc. They use these same models to combat violence by “1) Interrupting transmission of the disease. 2) Reducing the risk of the highest risk. and 3) Changing community norms.”
